The Samsung Galaxy S24 is the entry-level model in the Korean brand’s flagship line, which also includes the Samsung Galaxy S24+ and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 has a 6.2-inch screen resolution of 2340×1080 (full-HD+). Support for HDR10+ format content, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2600nits, making this a flagship-level display and can run its always-on mode at a 1Hz refresh rate for optimal battery consumption.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 comes in two versions:
- with the proprietary Exynos 2400 chip for the international market;
- with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy for the US, Canada and China.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S24 features a 50-megapixel primary camera (f/1.8 24mm equivalent main camera, OIS), a 10-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 67mm equivalent telephoto camera, OIS) capable of 3X optical zoom , and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera (12MP f/2.2 14mm equivalent ultrawide camera). While the default photography mode is the 12-megapixel one, you can also choose to shoot at the full 50-megapixel resolution, and then get an effective zoom level of up to 5X by cropping into a section of the full-resolution image.
The S24 uses AI when taking photos and gives you special tools for editing your photos after the fact too.
